




This position would be a vice president- or director-level, depending on experience. Develops, implements and manages policies, programs and systems to sell syndicated publications to the hospital market. Responsible for developing and implementing the sales strategy and preparing annual sales forecasts. Develops short- and long-range objectives to ensure sales growth, and implements performance standards for measuring progress.
Takes responsibility, in harmony with chief executive officer and human resources, for the recruitment and selection of new sales personnel. Manages, coaches and motivates the sales staff to achieve goals. Conducts the annual performance evaluation of each staff member. Encourages and facilitates the professional development of each sales representative.
Cultivates relationships with major accounts, in cooperation with sales representatives, to identify opportunities, and increase and sustain sales. Maintains and constantly improves company’s sales position in the marketplace. Recommends actions pertaining to new product development, product improvement, pricing and distribution.
