Click-worthy content: Digital experience issue

You're online. We're online. Everyone's online. Our click-worthy links this week offer healthcare marketers ideas and insights on the digital experience.

The case for making great digital healthcare content

What Matters Now: The Patient Healthcare Experience (Huge)

While we don't agree with absolutely everything in this article (we don't think you need to partner with a branded media company like Disney, for example), we do think the overall points here are well made.

The expectations of healthcare consumers are changing in light of their overall digital experiences. Healthcare organizations need to take steps to deliver content and overall experiences that are focused on the patient.

Yelp adds a ton of healthcare data

You Can Now Look Up ER Wait Times, Hospital Noise Levels and Nursing Home Fines on Yelp (The Washington Post)

Much of this data is already available on Medicare's Hospital Compare web page. Adding it to Yelp will likely make it more visible to healthcare consumers, though.

Your hospital may not be part of this yet. According to the Post article, "The data is for 4,600 hospitals, 15,000 nursing homes and 6,300 dialysis clinics in the United States, and it will be updated quarterly."

Internet trends for 2015

13 Slides You Need to See From Mary Meeker's Internet Trends (Business 2 Community)

Mary Meeker's annual Internet Trends Report is a favorite here at Coffey. If digital marketing is on your to-do list, the full report is sure to have a lot of data you'll find interesting. It's on the long side, though (196 slides). This article gives you some of the most interesting tidbits. (The report came out back in May, but we thought some of you might have missed it and decided it was worth sharing.)
