The Digital Health Awards program is organized by the Health Information Resource Center (HIRC), a clearinghouse for professionals who work in the consumer health field.

The awards are an extension of HIRC's National Health Information Awards, the largest program of its kind in the U.S. The competition is held twice yearly, in the spring and in the fall.
