Case study: A modern website for Palo Pinto General Hospital

The challenge

Palo Pinto General Hospital (PPGH) needed a full website overhaul to better serve patients and staff. The existing site was visually outdated, hard to manage, and not aligned with current accessibility and privacy standards. Service line content was disorganized and lacked the strategic focus needed for search visibility and patient engagement.

The solution

PPGH partnered with Coffey to launch a modern, user-friendly website built for today’s healthcare landscape. It included:

A fresh look and better UX. The redesign replaced a heavy, green background with a lighter, more welcoming palette. Streamlined layouts, improved typography and intuitive navigation help users quickly find key resources like providers, services and locations.

Smarter content management. With Site Assist, Coffey’s content management system, PPGH staff can now update pages, provider profiles, events and job postings with ease. Dynamic content modules support efficient updates across directories, events, job listings and more.

Improved compliance and tracking. PPGH’s new site uses Coffey’s server-side analytics solution to comply with HIPAA guidance from the Office for Civil Rights. Personally identifiable information is removed before data is sent to GA4. The site also supports a root-level TXT file to meet federal price transparency requirements.

Content strategy with SEO impact. Coffey conducted a full content audit before rewriting 15 key service line pages. Updates focused on patient-friendly language, storytelling that showcases the hospital’s strengths and SEO optimization to increase visibility in regional searches.

With a strong content strategy, intuitive design and improved internal workflows, the new PPGH site delivers a faster, easier experience for patients and staff—while staying compliant with evolving healthcare regulations.
