Whether it's the ache of missing loved ones or the stress and expectations of the season, the holidays can be a difficult and lonely time. If you're struggling, try these tips.

6 ways to support your mental health
1. Share your feelings. Call or meet up with a trusted listener.
2. Express yourself. Write in a journal, paint a picture or bake something. Art can be healing.
3. Be realistic. How many holiday events can you really handle? Saying yes to every request is exhausting.
4. Take care of yourself. Do your best to eat well, rest and exercise.
5. Relax and recharge. Watch a favorite movie, take a soothing bath or practice some deep breathing.
6. Check in with yourself. You don't have to be merry. But if you're overwhelmed, talk to your doctor.
